Mifepristone Tablets for Early Pregnancy Termination

Knowing about this medication

Though its mostly used for terminating pregnancies mifepristone could have other medical uses depending on what your healthcare provider recommends.

How Does It Works

Is there better way to use these medication

Mifepristone is taken orally as directed by your healthcare provider. Usually its followed by another medication misoprostol to complete the termination process. Its important to stick to the prescribed dosage and attend all follow up appointments to monitor your progress and ensure there are no complications.

After taking mifepristone some vaginal bleeding is normal as the body expels the pregnancy. However if you experience heavy bleeding soaking through two full size sanitary pads every hour for two consecutive hours it could indicate a complication and should be addressed immediately with medical help.

Its essential to schedule a follow up appointment within 1 to 2 weeks to ensure the pregnancy has been fully terminated. If the medication fails to terminate the pregnancy surgical intervention may be necessary.

You will be given a MedGuide which provides essential information about the medication its potential side effects and what to do in case of an emergency.
